Quick Easy Xmas Cupcake Toppers
In this Silhouette Studio® tutorial, we will create a cupcake topper from a gingerbread man graphic. We will be using the gingerbread man graphic from a previous tutorial (see link below) and the print and cut feature in Silhouette Studio.
Open Silhouette Studio. Because we will be using the print and cut feature, we will use letter sized cardstock and the registration marks in the cutting area.

Open Silhouette Studio. Because we will be using the print and cut feature, we will use letter sized cardstock and the registration marks in the cutting area.
- In the PAGE SETUP panel, set the Machine to Cameo 5, Feed Type to Auto/Manual, Cutting mat to Cameo and Media Size to Letter (see screenshot).
- Open the Registration Marks panel and turn on the Registration Marks (see screenshot).
- From the top menu, click File - Merge and find your graphic on your computer.
- Drag the graphic to the top left, being careful not to cover the registration marks.
- Resize the graphic to about 3 inches tall (see screenshot).
- Duplicate the gingerbread man graphic for as many cupcakes as you like (see screenshot).
- Click the SEND tab to open that panel.
- Each gingerbread man should have a red cutting line around the outside edge (see screenshot).
- From the top menu, click File - Print and print your toppers.
- Place the printed paper on the cutting mat and go back to the SEND panel. Click the SEND button to cut your toppers (see screenshot).
- Add a food pick to the back of each gingerbread man.
- Place one gingerbread man in each cupcake.
- Move the gingerbread man toppers off of the cutting area.
- Turn off the Registration Marks.
- Draw an 8 inch circle on the cutting area (see screenshot).
- In the SEND panel, send the circle to be cut.
- Repeat for as many circles as you need to display the cupcakes.
Now we will add our gingerbread man graphic.
Now it's time to print and cut.
A quick and easy way to display the cupcakes is to cut a circle from Christmas paper and place the cupcakes on the circles on your party table.
